The cultural and gorilla Safari begins and ends in Rwanda. Visit Omwami palace in Nyanza and the hot spring of Rugarama just near Nyungwe National Park in the south western direction of Rwanda, this park is well known for chimpanzee trekking and many other primate species. Visit the Ross Carr’s orphanage which has many orphans. Have a chance to visit the Batwa people and enjoy their cultural interactions as well as performances. As you transverse the to the park, you will have a stopover at some markets along the way. You will as well visit the traditional palace of Rwanda’s king in Nyanza. The vegetation along the way to the park is so stunning and scattered all over the great hillsides.

Wake up so early and have breakfast at your lodge, the guide will then transfer you the cultural museum of Butare, this museum was built in the commemoration of the 1994 genocide that took place in Rwanda where many people lost their lives and property. The town of Butare is one of the main three towns found around and near Lake Kivu. You will as well enjoy the botanical gardens and the hot springs in Bugarama which are so stunning to the eyes.

Enjoy your breakfast in the morning, proceed for a primate tracking tour in the famous Nyungwe Forest were you will be able to search for the chimpanzees, Golden Monkeys, colobus monkeys, silver monkeys, vervet monkeys and many more. Return to the lodge for your lunch, and in the afternoon, your guide will drive you to Gisenyi town and enjoy a swim within the Biharzia fresh free water of Lake Kivu. This lake is also beautified by Nyiragongo Volcano which last erupted in 2002.

Have breakfast in the morning, and after proceed north wards to Ruhengeri , this area harbors the most famous national park in Rwanda, called Volcanoes national park, it has got over 400 mountain gorillas which is half of the total gorillas remaining in the whole world. The park has also got many plant species as well as tree species. In the afternoon after your lunch, visit the surrounding communities and also visit the local Dian Fossey projects.
